DJ and Amy

DJ is one of those rare people who books a photographer over the phone, sight unseen. Of course, he'd seen the website and I guess that gave him enough comfort to move ahead -- AND I assume that, as the director of training for Athletes4hire.com, he's probably the kind of young businessman who likes to check things off his list fairly regularly.

Still, it's not a common thing and, for the photographer, presents an interesting challenge when you don't know who you're going to be photographing as you wait at the studio with just a few moments to go. Any worries vanished when they showed up -- DJ is the model of a young upwardly mobile businessman/speaker and Amy has a captivating Julia Roberts-type smile that never quits and is a pleasure to photograph.

We met at a downtown studio to do some indoor couple shots and then wandered around St. Louis's city museum which, on a Saturday, is a great place to photograph if you can deal with hundreds of kids running around the exhibits and the noise level they produce!

However, both DJ and Amy were very patient and found some great places to shoot and we ended up with some great photos of a wonderful young couple.
